Spring is almost here and once again it’s that time of year for us Proverbs 31 Women to start getting our house into shape after a long cozy winter of hibernating! Over the next couple of weeks I will be going over the above verse and talking about women of the bible who were diligent in serving their families and making their household beautiful; but first lets start this week with a fun project for you AND the kids!
Task for the week:
Proverbs 31:13 “She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands.”
This week I would like us to focus on ‘working willingly‘ with our hands. Is there a household project that your husband has been asking you to finish? I know there is in my house! It seems that every day a new project surfaces and needs our attention. Well this week is the perfect week to tackle those projects! Keep in mind while you’re working willingly with your hands that serving your family is a blessing, it’s what we as women are called to do by our Lord. Pray for your husband and your children while you work. Thank God for all of the blessings in your life.
Craft for the week:
Transform old glass jars into shabby chic vases with lace and ribbon
Have you noticed that in Proverbs 31 its mentions more than once that she is making her home lovely? (Proverbs 31: 13,19,21) As wives we need to make sure our husband is coming home to a beautiful haven! This week lets start by adding fresh flowers to the home!
Scripture for the week:
30 I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding;
31 And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down.
32 Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction.
33 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
34 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.
