How was WEEK 1 for you? Were you able to finish a project for your husband, did you pray for your family while working willingly?
This week I would like us to continue placing fresh flowers in the home along with focusing on making beautiful dinners for our family. Think of creative meals that you haven’t had before or maybe meals that you don’t make regularly. Dinner time in our home is a time for my husband and I to share about our day, laugh with each other and share prayer requests and praise reports. Dinner is a perfect time to include your children in praying for friends and family at the end of the meal. As you prepare your meal think about Ruth, and her willingness to serve her mother in law by going out each day to collect from the fields. Ruth is a wonderful example of working with willingly our hands and bringing food from afar. Some days of motherhood are more trying than others and it can become easy to forget about the importance of bringing the family together for a nice meal, rather than something made quickly and without thought. So this week, lets work on setting our table with purpose and making each meal lovely!
Here are a few spring salads that would be great to add to a meal….
Task for the week:
This week, along with working willingly, lets present our family with beautiful dinners! You don’t need to plan a new menu or go over the top, although you can if you’d like! Simply try cooking a family favorite, using the good china, adding a side dish or even a fun drink to the table! You could even add a small table arrangements of fresh flowers to make your meal lovely.
