My Toddler’s Labial Adhesion story, part 2

Thank you for joining me today.

On Monday I shared, My Toddler’s Labial Adhesion story, part 1 I know it may sound silly, but it took courage to share our story online.

All the questions of how others will respond, the doubts of sharing these private matters, and the fear of offending others filled my mind. It took courage to share what I felt the Lord was leading me to share. My mom, Mrs. Joseph Wood, always says that the enemy tries to make us feel alone. The enemy wants to isolate us; he wants us to believe that we can’t speak of our real life issues and problems… even with our Sisters in Christ. I can’t explain the purposeful decision that it took to hit the “submit” button and know there was no turning back. I posted out of obedience. I didn’t expect to get any feedback.  I was blessed by all of you that wrote to share your story with me and ask questions. Thank you, for reaching out to me!

Today, I want to continue to share how the Lord is bringing healing to our daughter while she is recovering from, Labial Adhesion. I think we all know, but just for the record….  I am not a doctor and I am not saying this information is the cure.
I am simply a mom, a Sister in Christ, sharing what The Lord has brought into our life as a way of healing and perhaps He can use the same tools for you or someone you know.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me using the email listed below in my signature. We need to keep sharing with each other. We are stronger when we do!

10 weeks and three days after learning that our daughter’s body was not making the proper amount of estrogen and as a result, dealing with Labial Adhesion we were busy packing our bags for a family vacation. Every year our whole family of 20+ people pile into multiple cars and make a trip out of state for a week long family get together. This time is always my favorite part of the trip, the best memories happen when we are stuck in close quarters and visiting with family members we haven’t seen in awhile.

I was happy to be having this time with my family, however, I couldn’t stop thinking about how maybe I should have just bought the cream our pediatrician recommended. Maybe I should have bought it and used it until I found something better. I mean how much harm can it do if I’m just using it for a few months? I want to be a good mom and help her, but was giving her something that would increase her already high chances of cancer being a good mom? The whole way down to Texas I kept praying that the Lord would speak to my heart, and my husbands heart, and show us what we should do, where we should turn to for help.

Psalm 54:4 Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.

The Lord answered our prayers!

A dear friend drove down from Houston to join us for a few days on the beach. While she was visiting she shared with us about a new Young Living Essential Oil. I have used essential oils off and on throughout the years, but I have not used them as a means of long-term healing. As she was sharing about these oils, I was amazed at the results people were having and the healing that the Lord was bringing through them.  One message that the Lord used our friend to share with us was this: God gives us a variety of tools to help us. Food, Herbs and yes Oils.

Since then, we have been using an oil blend called, Endoflex, which is used to support thyroid health, endocrine system, improves adrenal glands, helps pineal and pituitary glands, and overall hormone balance. Endoflex is a gentle way to bring our daughters hormones back into balance without any harmful ingredients or side-effects. Since our daughter is pre-puberty she doesn’t need much. I apply 2-3 drops on her lower stomach, right around the ovaries, 1 drop on the INSIDE of each ankle, and 1 drop on the bottom of each foot, for a total of 6 drops. I have been doing this morning and night for the past two months and within the first month we saw results.

The cream our pediatrician recommended said that it would take 2-3 weeks before showing results so I kept that as a timeline for these oils. I was very pleased to see improvement in that time frame. My biggest fear was that I wouldn’t see anything happening to know if they were really working. I will be the first person to tell you that I am not someone who can go off of blind faith when it comes to health related issues; I need to see results. We are currently on day 80 and she is about 50% opened, she still has a very thin, almost translucent layer of skin that has yet to break, however, the biggest praise report for this momma, is that she has had ZERO bladder infections since week 3 of starting the oils!! I know it sounds silly, but I didn’t realize I use to hold my breath when taking her to the bathroom. I hated seeing my baby in pain. We would sing songs, sometimes pray right before going potty and now there are no more tears. Even if she never fully opens I know that these oils are supporting her body to function correctly. It might take until she hits puberty before she’s fully recovered and that’s okay, the cream the pediatrician recommended wasn’t a long term fix either. My husband and I feel at peace with this solution and we are excited to see how the Lord continues to heal her body.

If you or someone you know is suffering from UTI’s (bladder infection) I would be more than happy to talk with you about how we care for those in our home using Young Living Essential oils and other daily practices. If you are interested in learning more about Young Living Essential Oils, please feel free to contact me with any questions.
