Sprouts

Enjoying sprouts is a year around experience at my house! We love our sprouts! My favorite is to take the Sprout Mix that Azure Standard offers and mix it with lentils. However, we have done a variety of combinations over the years. Once sprouted we place on some whole wheat bread, with fresh chopped garlic, add a dash of sea salt. There you have a simple, sensational, sprout sandwich!

Start with your sprout mixture. You’ll want approximately 1/4 of a cup for a half gallon glass jar. You don’t want to add too many seeds!

Place your sprouts into a 1/2 gallon jar. Using your metal ring lid insert your sprouting screen that you can easily find at Azure by using the hyperlinks I have listed here in this post.

Cover the seeds with water then drain. Set the jar in your warm window sill.

In about five to seven days your seeds will fully develop into delicious sprouts! This photo was taken at day three or four.

Enjoy!
